Reiki Healing Classes

Reiki Classes come in different forms to accommodate student’s needs. Reiki 1 Classes can be learnt as a weekend, over two consecutive Saturdays or over four evenings. Reiki 2 classes can be arranged on an individual basis. See the Diary for more details, or phone Vivien 01248490814

The courses are taught by Vivien Candlish, Reiki Master of Usui Shiki Rhoyo. (Traditional Reiki) Vivien is acknowledged as one of the most experienced Reiki Masters working in Britain. She did Reiki 1 in 1988 and was initiated as a Master in 1992, by Marta Getty. She became one of a handful of Masters working at that time. She has been teaching continuously since then and her on-going experience with treating patients has informed and deepened her teaching skills.

Reiki is a Japanese word combining "Rei" meaning Universal and "ki" meaning life energy.

It is a form of hands-on healing in which the universal life energy, Reiki, is channelled into a person. What happens in a Reiki session is that the patient draws the energy they need from the healers hands, the healer becoming the channel for this life energy. The healer does not direct or manipulate this energy in any way - they are only providers.

Reiki works on all levels, the body, the mind and the spirit, to support the natural healing abilities inherent in us all. It is a powerful healing tool for physical illness, emotional states including depression and chronic pain.

In the Reiki 1 class the student is connected by four initiations to this Universal Life Energy. Reiki healing is primarily about self-healing , our first response is to look after ourselves and in the class the student learns about self treatment, and will be competent work on others.

By the end of the weekend the student will be able to work on themselves and be enabled to provide a full treatment on someone else. The Reiki courses are certificated and Vivien is always available for follow up support to her students.

Accommodation is available at the centre at £30 per night, including Bed & Breakfast and evening meal.
